Graphics
 
Do you want to learn how to see objects and create ideas in three dimensions? Graphics will give you the opportunity to learn the language of graphical communication; the capability to present your ideas in a graphical presentation format; the power to problem solve and to develop drafting skills.
 
Content: The course of study in Graphics is based on themes; built environment, production graphics, and business graphics. You will also learn about two-dimensional and three-dimensional viewing. You will complete work that requires you to draw the shape of objects that you encounter at home, in the workforce, in newspapers and in recreation. Your response to these shapes is in the various form of graphic language. Using graphics in its various formats can be challenging and enjoyable. You will also learn how to use computer-assisted drawing using ProDesktop and Vector Works. 
 
Assessment: You will be required to complete four (4) assessment pieces per semester.  You will be assessed by in-class tests, research assignments, design folios and presentation folios.
 
Career Pathways: If you enjoy Graphics, you may want to pursue a career in some of the following: Engineering, Design, Architecture, Drafting, Graphic Artist/Designer or Industrial Design.
