Content: 
You will participate in a wide range of activities to develop your knowledge of physics and your ability to solve problems in your everyday experience. There is a heavy emphasis on practical work conducted in the laboratory.  During practical activities you will learn to work collaboratively to design and conduct experiments to collect and examine precise, reproducible data and develop mathematical relationships.
 
Assessment: There will be a wide variety of assessment techniques that will be integrated with your learning experiences. Your exit level of achievement will be based on the fullest and latest information on your performance in three dimensions: scientific investigation, scientific techniques, knowledge and understanding.
 
A High Achievement in Yr 10 Science and Extension Mathematics is the preferred minimum requirement for success in Physics.
 
Career Pathways: Physics is a foundation subject for further studies in such areas as: Dentistry, Health, Surveying, Medical Laboratory Science, Optometry, Podiatry, Radiography, Veterinary Science, Hydrography, Science, Engineering.
 
Costs: Covered by Resource Hire Scheme plus costs of occasional excursions.
