Welcome to our International Students ProgramTo participate in Education Queensland International Programs for international students it is necessary to first of all make contact with EQI
Indooroopilly State High School has been foremost in developing an excellent International Program. Our school has a long tradition of welcoming students from overseas nations, and delivering a quality curriculum.
An extensive support service is made available to our students so that they graduate to a future of their choice.
The International Students Program has three parts:
Secondary School Preparation Program for International Students
This program is an intensive English Language Course, preparing students for academic success in the mainstream secondary school. Students will undertake a quality, English Language-focused course that prepares them for studies in Mathematics, the Sciences, Social Science, Business Studies, Creative Arts and Information Technology. They will be taught by fully qualified and registered teachers with specialist TESOL expertise.

Secondary Schooling for Matriculation for International Students
Our school has an excellent International Student Program which is recognised as a leader in this State. We have a long tradition of offering a quality program, and we are proud of our many students who have gone to university and graduated with distinction.
Our programme sees students from other countries integrated into the mainstream secondary school. Students undertake a course of studies which is approved by the Queensland Studies Authority.
Success in this course opens up the possibility of gaining admission to several universities.
Our school offers a very supportive, multicultural environment in which our international students are integrated and are invited to make a cultural contribution. Many Australian families choose to enrol their children at our school because of the presence of so many students from other cultures.
Secondary Schooling for Matriculation for Migrant Students
Our TESOL Department offers intensive support to students who are recently arrived Australians, and who need additional English language support.
The TESOL Department works in close cooperation with class teachers and provides in-class support and some special ESL classes. Tutorial assistance is provided to students individually when necessary. This comprehensive assistance builds success for the students in their regular classes.
