Science

In science students will study topics from each of the 5 areas below:
  • Science and Society
  • Earth and Beyond
  • Energy and Change
  • Life and Living
  • Natural and Processed Materials
Assessment: During year 8, assessment may have the following components:
  1. Tests after several units of study. These will assess the knowledge and understanding of concepts.
  2. Student's workbooks, practical work and assignments which cover a wide range of skills in research and presentation. Information and Communication Technology is incorporated into lessons as well as assignment work.
