Year 8 Sose is now integrated with ICT. During the three lessons per week, students will learn their Sose topics along with ICT skills which they will apply using specific Sose content. This will involve students in basic word responses, excel spreadsheets, desktop publishing, the creation of an interactive map using Photo Impact, and the creation of a web page using Dreamweaver. Within Sose itself, students will formulate and examine questions, hypotheses and issues relevant to their lives. The focus will be very much on development of important communication skills - written, oral and multi-media. Students will complete the following units:
