Content: In Year 9, students will examine novels such as ‘The Outsiders’ by S E Hinton, plays like Alan Seymour’s ‘The One Day of the Year’ and ‘Whose Birthday is it Anyway?’ and the debating genre.

 

Assessment: Assessment is either spoken or written, with at least seven pieces of assessment per year.  You build your skills as you go and should expect to improve your language ability substantially throughout the course.  By Year 10 you should consider yourself a member of the Senior English programme.

 

Costs: Covered by Resource Hire Scheme plus cost of occasional excursions.
