IndustrialTechnology

Content: Industrial Technology expands on the skills and the theoretical knowledge covered in Year 8. This course prepares students for Year 10 where specialization of the two subjects will occur. When learning Graphics you will be instructed in the art of manual drawing, and in the use of computer aided drawing – ProDesktop and Vector Works.  Students will be instructed in Workplace Health and Safety, as well as workshop procedures and in the use of portable and static machinery.  Skills in the use of hand and power tools will be increased, as well as industry based knowledge and terminology. You will find this course both enjoyable and challenging.

 

Assessment: Assessment tasks will include the completion of projects, written and practical tests and research assignments.
