Connect to the School Network
To help you onboard your device at home, we’ve provided a selection of videos and fact sheets. These resources will ensure that students and their devices are prepared for learning from the first week of school. This will allow accessing and connecting to the school network quicker and easier.
Before you start
- Student username and password are required for this process.
- At the beginning of the school year, please visit the IT department or ask your teacher to reset your password if needed.
- Note: If you are newly enrolled at Indooroopilly State High School, your account may take additional time to be created, transferred and activated. Please visit the IT department to check if your account is ready before proceeding with the following instructions.
- Ensure that your device is fully updated before starting the onboarding process.
- Account of Device must have administrator access (this access can be removed after the onboarding process).
- Make sure any free or subscription based parental control programs and third party antivirus software are uninstalled and that your device is no longer managed be these programs (these can be reinstalled after the process is complete).
- For example, if your device uses software like Norton, ensure it is uninstalled, and your device is removed from any managed groups before proceeding with the onboarding process. You can re-add the software and groups once onboarding is complete.
- Ensure that your device's DNS settings are configured to "Automatic" (they are set this way by default).
