Our school is proud of the accomplishments of our Alumni and their desire to stay connected to our school.

Indooroopilly High has earned a strong reputation for excellence in academic, sporting, cultural and community service.

From its opening in 1954, Indro has been a school that encourages individual talents and aspirations. Laureate Professor Peter Doherty, who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1996, was in the school’s first intake of students.

Our school has produced numerous other high achievers, including journalist Peter Greste, broadcaster George Negus, Olympic and Commonwealth Games sprinter Caitlin Sargent-Jones, Olympic bronze medal-winning walker Dane Bird-Smith, educator Barry McGaw, ABC Radio Brisbane broadcaster Katherine Feeney, journalist Jillian Whiting, columnist and author Frances Whiting, Rhodes Scholar Dr Jack Fuller and singer Clea.

Our fortnightly school newsletter is a great way for Alumni to stay in touch with what’s happening at Indro and with fellow graduates. If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, click here.  We would love see you back at Indro for a visit or to speak with our students.
