Dear Students, Parents and Carers, and the Indro Community,
United Nations (UN Day) is a cherished annual tradition at Indooroopilly State High School. This letter is an open invitation to all current and former members of the Indooroopilly State High School community to join us for Open Day this year on Friday 19 June. Please pass this on to any past and present member of the Indooroopilly SHS community you have contact with and help spread the word!
Students will receive further updates about UN Day from notices and at Year Level Assemblies about the festivities and ways to get involved.
The Parent and Citizens' Association has expressed interest in supporting the event. As part of this, UN Day will extend into a festival style community/alumni celebration on the cricket oval at the close of the school day from 3:00pm – 8:00pm.
Parents, carers, alumni and the broader Indro community will be invited to participate in cultural activities, enjoy the food trucks, and watch cultural performances and the Battle of the Bands. Parents and carers, why not join your student to be part of festivities after 3:00pm this year? If you are keen to assist the P&C in organising UN Day, please reach out to them via their website.

We look forward to a great UN Day in 2026.
Regards
Brad Blashak and Kate Vale
