Student Services

Welcome to Student Services at Indooroopilly State HighSchool. Our services are committed to supporting students emotionally, socially and academically. Our large non-teaching department offers an array of support services for students, staff and parents. We are located in the heart of the school in the Student Services. Please contact our friendly Help Desk to learn more about our services and how we can assist you during your journey at Indro. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Support

Indooroopilly State High School actively recognises and supports its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The school develops relationships with the elders of the Turrbal and Jagera people the traditional owners of the Indooroopilly area.

Chaplaincy

The school offers an excellent School Chaplaincy service which takes a holistic approach to the support and care of the school community.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department

We provide Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with an individualised approach towards lifelong wellbeing and success.

EALD Support

EALD (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) Support is available for students who have recently arrived from overseas.

Guidance and Counselling

Guidance and Counselling Service further promotes the forward thinking ethos of our school community. We acknowledge that our students are people first and that adolescence can be a challenging time in a young person’s life.

Head of Year 10

Head of Year 7

My name is Jae Morris, and I am honoured to be the Head of Year 7. It is my privilege to support and guide our wonderful Year 7 students as they begin their exciting journey at Indooroopilly State High School.

Head of Year 8

My name is Jarrod Goltz, and I am excited to introduce myself as the Head of Year 8 at Indooroopilly State High School. As I step into the role, I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and the wider school community.

Head of Year 9

My name is Kimberly Whitehouse and I am excited to be the Head of Year 9 this year. I have been working in education for 15 years in schools across NSW and Brisbane.

Heads of Year

Heads of Year assist with the welfare of all students within their year cohort. They work with Connect Teachers to ensure that school is a safe, pleasant and positive experience for the students.

Inclusion Support Department

Ensuring students have equitable access to their learning, through our collaboration with stakeholders, to prepare them for their future. Ludo, Pretzel and Truffles our therapy dogs join our team on different days throughout the week.

Link and Launch

Link and Launch is a school based program, designed to help young people decide what further study, training or employment might be best for them and to assist them in pursuing their chosen pathway after graduating from Year 12.

Indooroopilly State High School has a School Based Youth Health Nurse named Emma.

At Indooroopilly State High School we take a holistic approach to your child’s education.

Transport

Our school’s reputation depends upon students’ behaviour in public. Exemplary behaviour is expected whilst travelling to and from school.
