The Student Centre is a hub for student engagement in academic study and co-curricular activities.
Students participate in clubs and events in the Student Centre on a weekly basis. There is weekly Chess Coaching, school and interschool Chess Tournaments; Opti-MINDS Challenge, Readers’ Cup competitions as well as other reading and literary related events throughout each year.
Students undertaking Distance Education studies or self-study do so through the Student Centre.
The Student Centre, which houses the Library Resource Centre, celebrates its role as a partner in learning and teaching in our school community.
Students have access to thousands of books, fostering a recreational reading culture.
Our Library catalogue, available online, allows students to search and reserve loans, as well as track their current and past loans. Borrowing statistics reveal a significant increase over the last year, with fiction and graphic readers topping the recreational reading choices.
A Tax Deductible Gift Register — Library Fund operates at Indooroopilly State High School. This fund supports the acquisition of property and services for the Library Resource Centre and its collections and enables the school to provide a wider range of resources for our students as well as supporting Chess. You can download the Library Fund Donation form here.
