Dance Company aims to develop and extend students' skills in Dance performance and choreography in Contemporary Dance beyond what is taught in the Dance curriculum. Dance Company supports students to deepen their experience of Dance practice and performance. It connects students within the School Dance Community as developing dancers and choreographers, and offers opportunities to develop connections beyond school with local and national dance artists, companies and projects.
Committed Dance students from Years 7–12 are selected through an audition process towards the end of Term 1 with the program occurring in Terms 2 and 3. Maximum: 25 students.
Casual 'Walk-in-Wednesday' Dance Company lunchtime sessions are open to all students and acts as a training ground and stepping stone for students to develop their Dance skills. Students who are not yet ready for Indro Aspire Dance Company can access this program to support their skill development and love of Dance.
