Robotics is an afterschool program open to students in Years 7 and 8 that allows them to develop the core STEM skills of coding, engineering and creating solutions to problems through the programming and construction of a LEGO Spike Prime robot. Equipped with these skills, students would be encouraged to participate in the RoboCup Junior Australia competition. The Brisbane Regional event is held in the middle of the year. ISHS students would be expected to build and code a Spike Prime robot to be able to compete in the Secondary Rescue Line competition.
