Welcome back for the 2025 school year to our returning Indooroopilly SHS families, and a special 
welcome to our new students and families who are joining us this year. We hope that every family 
had an enjoyable and safe holiday break and that you feel ready for a productive year. It has been 
wonderful to see our Indro students so enthusiastic to be back, ready and equipped for learning, and 
I thank all of our families for your support in helping to make this happen. 
A special welcome as well to the 40+ new staff members - teachers, teacher aides, and support 
staff - who have joined our team this year. This year, our school community continues to grow, with 
an expected enrolment of just under 3,000 students, reflecting the strong reputation and demand for 
an Indooroopilly SHS education. 
 As your new Executive Principal, I am truly honoured to join this vibrant community, renowned for 
its academic excellence, cultural diversity, and commitment to developing students who thrive in an 
ever-changing world. Over the coming months, I look forward to meeting students, staff, parents, 
and community members to learn more about the strengths of Indro and work together to shape an 
exciting future. 
 On our first staff professional development day, I shared my immediate priorities as Executive 
Principal – key areas that will guide my leadership as I begin my journey at Indooroopilly SHS. First 
and foremost, I am committed to staying the course, ensuring that we maintain and strengthen the 
signature practices that have made Indro such a successful and respected school. I will also be 
a strong advocate for the Indro community, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the unique 
values, culture, and priorities that define our school. A significant focus for me in these early months 
is getting to know our students, staff, and families, taking the time to listen, learn, and understand 
what makes Indro so special. At the same time, I will be supporting the implementation of our 
Strategic Plan and the 2025 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) to ensure we continue making 
meaningful progress. Lastly, I want to explore and help shape the longer-term goals for Indro, 
working collaboratively with our school community to envision the future of this great school. These 
priorities will shape my leadership as we embark on what promises to be an exciting and successful 
year ahead. 
Thank you for welcoming me into this exceptional school community. I am excited about the year 
ahead and the opportunity to lead a school that values excellence, creativity, and diversity as deeply 
as Indooroopilly SHS does. Here’s to a fantastic 2025 - let’s make it a year to remember!
